Yeah, that's my train of thought

I woke up with a headache this morning. Who wakes up with a headache when they're not hungover? AIH. I just took lameness to another level in my personal records. I had to pop a pill before my exam because my nose decided that it was a good time to act up and worsen my headache. IMMUNE SYSTEM, WORK WITH ME NOW!

On that note, I should take a Vitamin C pill now because I can just tell that my dear mother's going to call and ask "DID YOU TAKE YOUR VITAMIN C?!" right after she reads this. (Yes, Ma, I just took one... like out of paranoia... because I cannot lie and tell you that I've been taking my vits regularly.. OOPS? HEHEHEHE... Hey, at least I don't lie! Hehe??)

I have this big post in my head... But I need to study! Because I'm sitting for Chem final paper on Saturday! (Yes, on Saturday, in the afternoon.)

OKAY LAH. Big post some other day. *insert dismissive hand-waving emoticon*

I'm sitting here, hugging my pillow. That is a very bad idea. Because hugging a pillow always leads to caving in and flopping onto the bed, that given my situation right now, isn't an ideal move.

FOCUS. FOCUS. FOCUS.

Whoever is already on holiday, let me say this: LEAVE ME ALONE IF YOU CANNOT STOP TAUNTING ME!! *big pout* Whoever is in the same boat as I am: WHEE!

:P

Oh, did I mention that I need to pack up my belongings and keep them in the store room for this year-end break? YESSSSSS. I wish I can get a professional packer to do it for me. You should see the mountain of things that I brought here and have collected over this one odd year. SIGH. My desk is cluttered with my contact lens solution, random envelopes and Post-Its, hair cream, baby oil, hand sanitizer, paper clips, eyeshadow packs, perfumes (faster, somebody go work at a cosmetic store and get me some samples!), and all the junk that I hoard. Sigh.

CHEMISTRY. NO MORE SIDETRACKING.

Doinkkkk

I woke up at the uncharacteristically early time of 8.00 am today. (Actually, I think it's slowly becoming normal for me. *gasp* Nah, rest assured I'll revert back to my sleep-really-late and wake-up-really-late pattern once the holidays begin... Hehehe!) And all I've been doing all morning, afternoon, evening, and night is study, eat, chill to some music, study, daydream, study, run through my music playlist again, study, eat, study, place head on desk, study, daydream, and the list goes on pretty much the same way if you notice the sequence.

I've been writing and balancing chemical equations, pressing my calculator, and scribbling in my finally-handy science practical book. And now, when I read the Chemistry textbook, my speed of processing seems to have gone down a lot. Even the half-equations get me staring blankly at the page. And don't even get me started on how discombobulating the cell potentials are to me at this moment. And did I mention how two and a quarter chapters of acid-base reactions can make me remember how I once used to skip Chapter 8 of Form 5 Chemistry - Salts because it was so confusing?

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Okay. I need to take a breather. I can't even spell properly now. I keep making silly spelling errors, which, if you know how anal I am about it, is frustrating to me. And to think that I need to utilize the other side of my brain for Music! *sigh*

Should I play Poker on Messenger, read through my Music notes, take a short nap, or just zone out for a bit?

Considering my options, number one will probably just get me stuck to the chair for the next hour or so, only to realize after then that I'd already wasted 4.17% of my day. Number two might cause me to doze off especially if I read on the bed. But it can also stop my obsession with completing the Chemistry questions in the book and give my calculator a rest. Number three might cause me to just sleep through the whole night, so I'll scrape that (short naps and I just don't go together). Number four sounds really good right now. But then again I might end up spacing out to some really emotional James Blunt and Keith Urban songs, effectively causing myself to be all sappy, thus potentially causing me to waste approximately 8.33% of my day.

Mmmmm. I'll lay my head on this very cluttered and seemingly not big enough desk (I still remember how I thought that this desk is HUGE compared to the one I got in McNair - well, it is quite big in comparison - but a bigger desk also means more clutter in my case) and mull over my options. Hopefully I don't fall asleep before I make up my mind.

...

FINE. Option 2 it is. Pray there won't be "doink doink" sounds coming out from now on.

PS: "Doink doink" is the almost onomatopoeic (WOAH COOL WORD - sorry, that was my inner child who was too excited about SAT-like words) sound of the stuff that's bouncing off my head as I'm reading them. (But then again, it's a personified sound, so that cool word is disqualified. *crestfallen look*)

PPS: YES, YES, I'M GOING TO READ MY NOTES NOW.

Gluttony

I went to sleep with a headache at 2 this morning. My eyes were strained from staring at the laptop, editing for hours. It’s a pain to edit when people send you stuff that they supposedly “write” when it is obvious that they barely wrote any of the sentences on their own. It frustrates me to discover how even in college, this happens.

Anyway, the weirdest thing happened after I turned the lights off. So there I was, worn out and craving sleep, but then I started thinking about how warm the room felt, and a few moments later I started thinking hmmm.. my eyebrows need to be plucked. Yeah, I know, WUT? That was completely random. How on earth could I have possibly thought about that when I was busy trying to tell my brain to stop running into overdrive? The most random things strike me at the oddest hours sometimes.

On an unrelated note, I’ve been committing the sin of gluttony a lot lately. SIGH. Last night, I craved for chocolate while typing away at the keyboard. (I was just telling Olivia how I should name my laptop. The first name that popped into my mind? Sexy Max. EWW. I’m still thinking of a name. :D) So I got the dinner gang to help me buy a bar of chocolates. By the time the bar reached me, I was already running low on body battery and all I could think of was chocolaaaaaateeeeee. OH, NO. Today, I dragged myself out of bed at 7.15 am and met Olivia at the cafeteria for breakfast at 7.50 am. (There goes being early to our 8.00 am class – again. Heh.) I had three sio bees and two sio bee-lookalike thingamajigs. I delayed lunch to 2.00 pm and had the sinfully greasy hot dog combo. Meh. For dinner, it was beef noodles. YUMMEH. I miss gu bak mee! *drools* Still, nothing beats the beef noodle at home with all the tender meat, chewy tendons, and soft tripe. YUMMMMMMM.

Oh, and I’m going out for a burger at 10! Last week after supper with the boys (we now have an unofficial “club”, dubbed ASEAN Dropouts by Ducky – I said we need to scout among our juniors to see if there’s anyone who fits into our club, though we suspect there isn’t.. oh, well.), I suggested going to McD tonight but nothing was finalized. Today, Wei Yiing popped up an invitation to have a burger for supper out of nowhere. I get scolded every time I turn down an invitation for supper with my lovely floormates, so this time I’ll make good on my “next time I’ll join you” and join ‘em tonight. :P But it figures that just minutes ago, Shen asked if I want to go to McD. WUTTT. I WANT MCD! *bangs fists on desk* Who knows I might even be able to get him to take us for a night drive if I ask till he gets bored... hehehe. I miss night drives! *emo*

Hanging out with them last week made me appreciate my time in Singapore a bit more. It was awesome recalling all the stuff we did there and talking about all the crap under the sun – from smelly friends to outcasts to common pains. It was really cool being able to sit with people who share my experiences. Know what’s the weird thing, though? None of us knew each other personally in Singapore. (Ducky even said he doesn’t remember seeing me during the orientation in December – I couldn't recall seeing his face during the orientation too, the first few times I saw him.. err... aih.) Shen said I was unfriendly because I didn’t play football with him and the rest of the McNair gang when he visited the hostel. HELLO, I don’t even remember him playing football with them! Can someone please tell me when this happened and why I do not have any recollection of it?

OHH CHOCOLATES. NOM NOM. *resumes snacking*

An eggpisode

I wanted to make hard-boiled eggs for breakfast... and I ended up with half-boiled eggs. And there I was, thinking that one cannot go wrong with one big electrical kettle and two eggs. Apparently, one can.

It's sad to admit this, but that year-end list definitely has to include acquiring some more common sense and practical skills when it comes to household stuff because it ain't no rocket science, but I'm such a noob at it. (Thank goodness I was taught how to wash, iron, and fold clothes, sweep and mop the floor, etc, though - I'm not that hopeless after all! Joy.)

32 more days to home. :)

Strike of the clock

There is one more minute to Friday as I type. I'm sitting at my desk, revelling in the coldness of my room. The air-conditioning unit has finally been cleaned and now the fan is working as well as it is supposed to be. That makes a happy me. The ceiling fan has been cleaned too, while I was away in class. That makes a happier me.

You know what would make me even happier? To have an awesome time tomorrow, basking in the glory that is civilization and in the company of good friends. Ah, camaraderie abounds. :)

It is Friday!

So you think you can stalk?

Hello, my dear readers (whoever you are).

Since Joanne has taken it upon herself to check out where all of you come from (were you that bored?), I decided to foray into the mind-boggling site that is the blog traffic feed I subscribe to. Upon further inspection, I discovered that someone on a Mac visited my blog a couple of days ago. This Mac user is from Kuching. I've got no Mac users among my Kuching friends (or am I just that outdated?). So, dear Kuching Mac user, can you please identify yourself? (Actually, I'd be surprised to see a reply; you know, random blog readers wanting to be anonymous and all... EH TELL ME WHO YOU ARE LA, OKAY.)

And most of my visitors are using Vista. As far as I know, almost all my friends have their laptops running on Vista, so no surprise there. I can recognize the Windows XP visitors as my family members. (Hello, Daddy, Mummy, and Che che!) :D It's quite easy to tell who is behind the screen too, based on the locations. Kuching shows up every now and then. Singapore has ceased showing up as of late because the people who study there are back here for their holiday. Nilai shows up because of me la (and some other friends). Australia shows up every once in a while when Che che comes online. KL shows up because of the McNairians, obviously. New Zealand appears because... I have ex-classmates who are there? USA shows up... due to some random clicking? (User uses a computer running on Linux.. don't I sound like a stalker now?) The same goes for Russia, China, etc. By the way, I noticed that most of you are using Mozilla Firefox. How come there are so few IE users like me? I never use Firefox even though I installed it a long time ago. :P

Am I the only one who finds this all kinda neat but freaky at the same time?

Can everyone who reads this please identify yourself by leaving a message in the chatbox (it's on your right and it's PINK like most things on this blog, if you don't know)? If you're a kindergarten/primary school/secondary school/college friend, great! If you're someone I don't even know, well, at least say hi? :P (Let's see how many people will actually bother to do this.)

PS: I've been trying to zoom into the street names for so long but the map takes a loooooong time to load. INTERNET CONNECTION, WON'T YOU PLEASE HUMOR ME TODAY?

You have a nice smile

CRYSTAL, GO MUG LAHHHHHHHHHH. YOU'VE GOT A TEST AT 2 PM; WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE??! *insert hitwall emoticon*

Ergh. I'm having a virtual monologue. The Internet has gotten to me!

I really do think you look nice when you smile.

Remind me what I'm doing again?

What have I done this whole day? I woke up at 8.20 am (even though I really wanted to sleep till 9.. sigh) and attended a lecture from 10 am to 12 pm. The whole lecture, I discovered how easily distracted I am once I start doodling with my pencil. I ended up drawing some curly stuff at the bottom margin of my notes. Sigh. I NEED TO FOCUS. After that, it was lunch time, time for me to get reacquainted with my good friend, sio bak rice. Mmmmm.

A solitary hour in the library followed after that. And then there was Wei Yiing's Psychology experiment which involved watching a video of babies laughing and cats tumbling over themselves. Hilarious! After that, I did pretty much nothing in that wonderfully cold room. Sigh. I don't know why wasting time is so easy to do but making the best out of time is so hard. BLEH.

In the evening, after dinner, I bought a scary-looking kuih lapis and a slice of tapioca cake. It's been a while since I had both. I love traditional treats. :) Upon plopping myself comfortably in front of my laptop, I proceeded to log onto Facebook... and the rest is history.

I should really be mugging for the Stats test tomorrow and Accounting test on Thursday. Aih.

I have Beau Bristow and Jon McLaughlin on repeat. Sigh. I love their voices. :)

Believe

I am spending my Wednesday night glued to my laptop, my eyes fixed on one particular tab in this window. It's the tab that reads Gmail - Inbox. I've been checking my inbox repeatedly in hopes that I'd get the answer that I've been waiting for since last night. Every time I switch to a chat window, I quickly switch back to the browser to see if the (1) appears beside 'Inbox'. I feel like a creepy weirdo now!

E-mail waiting is just as nerve-wrecking as call-waiting! Whoever begs to differ can come here and take my place. By the way, I'm doing both now, so there. Grr.

Right, now I shall log out so that I can sign back into my Gmail account. Argh. See! Creepy.

I need miracles!

Yeehaw

Woohoo! I've finished watching 21 (so brilliantly intelligent!), Made of Honor (PATRICK DEMPSEY IS SO SEXYYYY), Yes Man (hilarious!), and Bedtime Stories (Adam Sandler ROCKS!). (I did not watch them all at once, trust me.) I'm quite sure there is another movie that I forgot to add in but whatever lah. :D

Grey's Anatomy post coming up real soon (I know, I said it's supposed to be up next two posts ago - my bad.) I'm almost done with it.

Okay, okay, now it's time to get back to my Stats tutorials yooooooo.

G'night!

PS: I think I'm hyper. Is it the hunger talking? O.O NOOOOOOOOO.

PPS: If you're a big math or physics (or both) fan, answer this: What do you get when you cross a mountain-climber and a mosquito? I found this off a math website, so have fun cracking your head! (Hint: You know it!) Muahaha. I am feeling hyper. Oh, gosh. I'm thinking of hot Milo. MMMMMMMMMM. :)

In the real world

I was surfing the Web mindlessly when I came across this article. Maybe that should be my inspiration to finish up my Stats tutorials and to wrap my head around the stuff we have covered in Calculus.

Yesterday's question: What do we get when we cross Calculus 3 with Calculus 4 (actually, it's Differential Equations)? In vector form, that's <2,3,2> x <2,4,2>. Solving this by the pseudo-determinantal formula (doesn't that sound so fwah?), we get <-2,0,2>, which gives us a subject code we do not recognize. Yeah, welcome to Cal3, where you can discover whether or not you're meant to be a mechanical engineer. Cheem.

Okay, okay. I shouldn't be procrastinating when I woke up at 11.45 am. And to think that I slept at 1 am, way earlier than what time I've been turning in for a few nights now. :/ Ooh, I watched Bride Wars before sleeping last night. It is such a hilarious movie that got me laughing like mad. :D

Up next: Grey's Anatomy - Season 5. Woots! :)

PS: I think Twitter is really overrated these days. I used Twitter in my previous blog and my last Twitter was more than a year ago. Back then, no one really bothered to Twitter this and that more often that they update their Facebook status. First Facebook, then Plurk, then Twitter. Madness.

Hollerrrr

Okay, things are a bit crazy at the moment.

American Idol finale tonight (DO NOT tell me the result beforehand or you shall face my wrath!) - aaaaah! And Street Party too - mamammmmmmmmmm!

Oops. About time to go meet our lecturer now. Will pop back for a proper update when I can.

Ooo La La

I spent the better part of last night watching She's the Man for the second time. (I didn't even realize that I'd already watched it until the movie reached its first quarter.) And then I proceeded to flop onto my bed to read my newly acquired book... only to fall asleep after a chapter or two. And the only productive thing I've done since I woke up this morning is writing almost a page for my Malaysian Studies assignment. :O Tsk.

What is it about Saturday afternoons that make me feel so lazy? The hot, hot weather isn't helping too. I'm so reluctant to step outside of my room now because of the blistering heat. My air-conditioned room is like a safe, cozy cocoon at the moment. :D That gives me more reason to be sedentary. Yerrh. :/

Maybe I should get started on crossing things off my to-do list. Chores time!

I sure hope you're having a more fun weekend.

Of a dog and a Pokemon

I had a very strange dream while napping on Friday afternoon.

I was at my grandparents’ place with my parents. It seemed as though we were the only people in the house. Outside, the gate was opened and there was a small dog running outside. It was hyper, practically bouncing from spot to spot. From afar, it looked very small and cute.

In a flash, the dog started chasing something. I hurried over and saw that it was in a face-off with a racoon (never mind the fact that I’ve never even seen a racoon in reality). The first thing I did was whip my phone out to capture the moment. But my phone failed me. I couldn’t click on capture and I got frustrated.

There was someone else standing nearby. My sister, I think? I wasn’t paying much attention. Anyway, I said, “LOOK! Rechu!” Like, WHAT ON EARTH is a RECHU?! I wanted to say racoon, but it came out as ‘rechu’. Great. Even in my dream, I thought, that sounds like Raichu (picture below).

Err. So anyway, the racoon (I forgot to mention that it was really, really cute with adorable eyes) managed to scamper off and escape the hyper/irritated dog. I went back into the house, feeling kinda weird (must’ve been that semi-reference to a Pokemon). And then when I asked whose dog that was, my dad said, “Oh, that’s our new dog. I bought it for about a hundred bucks and left him here.” At that moment, the dog bolted through the door and came into the living room. That was when I realized how small it really was.

“Is it a Chihuahua?” I scrutinized the dog, not quite liking its size and demeanor.

“I don’t know. I just bought it.” Typical response from Daddy. :P

“Why didn’t you leave it at home and bring Patsy (our own dog at home) here instead?”

Woah. I was mean to Patsy in my own dream. Sorry, Patsy, Che che love you big time despite your sloppiness and your stupidity sometimes. :P She's really adorable when she greets me whenever I stand in the wet kitchen. (I love how my pets respond to me every time I come home after a couple of months – it’s very endearing.)

The duh part of the dream is this: it ended there lah.

I chalk up the randomness of the dream to exhaustion.

For fellow muggers

All I've done from 9 am besides eat breakfast and wash one shirt is digest my Econs notes. All this reading, processing, and digesting is making me hungry. I want lunchhhhhhhh. :/

To everyone who is mugging and preparing for the finals battle, ALL THE BEST!

Aih?

I spent a part of last night worrying about my university application because of some clarification that I need to provide. I was confused - didn't quite know where to begin and what to say. But whenever you run into a wall, you just gotta find a way around it. So I vowed to wake up early (but I ended up getting up a wee bit later that that.. heh) and call up the school to ask if an official statement can be issued to say that I'm a former student there. And apparently the school staff isn't in today.

Aiya. I'll wait then.

So it's on to my shopping trip now! :D Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! :)

Off

My Valentine's Day was spent with a very exciting partner who accompanied me all day and night, from the moment I woke up till the time the clock struck 12 and the calendar showed 15 February.

This partner will take up most of my time until Tuesday night, so no posts till then.

Yeah, I'm serious about this partner.

Oh, Mr MAT133.

I am so tired now. There is a list of formulas waiting to be memorized and at least another 5 pages full of questions to be solved. But I shall now pass out before attempting to push myself over the edge.

Oh, Mr MAT133.

I shall go sleep now. Goodnight, all.

RandomLand

I'm sitting here, wondering where that motivation I woke up with went to. I woke up the instant my phone rang. Wonderful. Why doesn't that normally happen on days when I actually have 8 am classes, unlike today when my classes only begin at 2 pm? Sigh.

I've got my portion of the Moral presentation slides and script to work on, plus my Calculus assignments (it just turned into plural form because I was feeling a tad semangat-ed and logged into my online account and saw that our second assignment had just been uploaded) and Accounting tutorial. On top of that, there's the necessary mugging for Socio and Econs. I'm gonna have my presentation and Socio test on Tuesday within that 6-hour no-lunch stretch. College has messed up my diet a lot, I think. Ramly burgers for dinner? I would not have even considered it back home. :(

Motivation - di manakah engkau menghilang?

By the way, yesterday, I came to realize how differently I think now than how I did a year ago. Backtrack a year ago, I was a girl who was still awed over her surroudings, who couldn't quite yet wrap her head around an independent life. Now, I take it all as it comes. I've learned to be more spontaneous and flexible with time. Because now I can go to Giant to get some daily necessities and end up going from there to MidValley just because I feel like it and because time permits. And then I eat 4 sinful slices of pizza and spend on stuff I never had to pay for.

Such is life in RandomLand. You try to motivate yourself to mug and you end up narrating jumbled up thoughts.

PS: Boy has such nice hair I wish I can reach over and see if it's real. :/
