Lawak

If I have been unresponsive to your messages or calls, I am really sorry. It's a crazy week for me. This week is packed full of things to do one after another. Today's my free day, but so far, it has been anything but free. I'm delivering my persuasive speech tomorrow (last presentation for public speaking class! So fast!) and also working on my trial stuff.

Today and the next few days are probably going to be dedicated mainly to trial-related issues. (Dah abis trial klak boleh ku show video kamek nek nang lawak abis pun... eh, benanya video pun blom ambik gik.. aduh eh.. okay la, aku rasa nya memang gerenti lawak lah) While a part of me is worried about the things on my list of errands and all else, there is a part of me that actually revels in being caught in the thick of things. (No, I'm not a sadist.)

Fuiyooooo banyak benda mok dipolah tok aih. Ari lain lah aku bercrita panjang-panjang. Oh, ya, ada sigek benda lawak aku mok padah. Kawan aku pikir aku ada gerek. HAHAHAHA! Adoi, sakit pipiku mbak tetak. Nang lawak lah. Yalah iboh cayak semua barang orang madah nak, oh? Aku rasa Mummy ngan Daddy gik sik akan berik aku reaction besar skali juak. Maybe adalah sikit, tapi sik lah cam ya oh. Aduhh lawak na. Kelak aku bercrita gik, k.

Ummm.. happy mid-week, everyone! :)

Hmm

I've been yawning every few minutes since about half an hour ago. It's only 9.39 pm! This is ridiculous. Last night, I gave up trying to keep awake and went to bed at 10.45 pm. 10.45 pm! I can't even remember the last time I went to sleep at that hour. I'd been getting comments on how tired I looked since after lunch yesterday. And tonight, here I am, yawning like nobody's business.

The puzzling part is I don't even know why I feel so lethargic. I didn't go for a jog. Nor did I spend 4 to 5 hours straight mugging. In fact, I had a free day (cheers to Wednesdays this semester) and it was spent hanging out with Olivia, getting more laughing and talking done rather than mugging. And we fought over chocolates - for about all of 10 seconds, before I said, "But we can just split them half each!", after which we proceeded to launch into a loud gale of laughter. Our maturity astounds me.

And today, I am happy to say that I'd found renewed motivation. :)

31 days

This is a delayed wrap-up of the last month that was drafted at the end of the month because I felt that July was a very special month for more than just one reason.

July was never quite a very significant month to me, up 'til last year when I came to this place. There were so many unfamiliar faces, different personalities, and a variety of whims and fancies. For a while, I thought I'd take very long to find my footing here. But I was proven wrong. Because fast forward a year later, here I am, feeling more at ease than I thought I'd be (exam nerves aside, of course).

Here's what went down July this year:

Rachel and Khye Theng came back and we had a couple of good photo-taking sessions around the campus.

Dropped by our Calculus 2 lecturer's BBQ with his students after dinner at Secret Recipe. Took some photos with him and the rest. Here is a photo of me and Ducky, who is very nice to talk to and also to bully. XD But do not be deceived for he is THE Harvard Boy! I kid you not, okay. I'll miss Ducky and his semi-lameness. :(

Attended Carmen's farewell party that included a lot of food, a few rounds of Mafia, and some weird dance moves.

Bought more stuff that I intended to. Despite being in an isolated town, I still manage to leak cash faster than I expect. Ish. Oh, nope, I didn't get that HUGE ring up there, no worries. We were just having fun with the stuff there. XD

Celebrated Olivia's birthday twice. :D

Stayed over at Khye Theng's for her farewell party. Made a new friend (I'd never clicked with someone that fast!), talked through the night, slept at 5 am, woke up at noon, splurged a bit after that. Le sigh. That is the life. XD (By the way, back home, we have roti jala, which is brown and sweet; over here, they have kuih jala which is yellow, soft, and eaten with curry. I love both!)

Had more supper in this semester than I'd ever had in this place. XP

It all started with a supper earlier in the month, when someone proposed that we meet before two of the guys leave the college. After many negotiations and a bit of time spent waiting (and almost getting knocked down by a bus.. GRR), we settled on a late-night meet at Al-Salam, near the college. That was the night I returned to my room at 2 am and miraculously managed to wake up before 8 am, in time for class.

Just less than two weeks ago, after Ducky left, the three of us scheduled a dinner together, but Mr Cool got stranded in Seremban, leaving Shen and I ditched and hungry. We ended up having dinner at Secret Recipe and grocery-shopping at Giant. That was also the day that I found out that someone whom I used to think is rather attractive (while I was in Singapore) is actually pretty off-putting. Sigh. (Me: There goes my image of him. *sigh* Shen: Okay lar, I'll just say he's hot, okay? He's hot, really, really hot. SOOOOO HOT. Me: *gives the look at failed sarcasm* SHADDAP. Hmph. )

To make up for ditching us, G agreed to supper at McD the next day. I think I scared off Shen's roommate by asking, "Are you still putting on your make-up?!" when he picked up the phone. I didn't think his roommate would pick up his call! ERGH. *slaps forehead* We spent about 3 hours in McD, from 11 pm to almost 2 am. It's a wonder how long just talking minus the eating takes. :D

It was really quite a month. :)

I can't wait for the holidays so I can kick back and relax for a bit before the next semester begins!

Of a dog and a Pokemon

I had a very strange dream while napping on Friday afternoon.

I was at my grandparents’ place with my parents. It seemed as though we were the only people in the house. Outside, the gate was opened and there was a small dog running outside. It was hyper, practically bouncing from spot to spot. From afar, it looked very small and cute.

In a flash, the dog started chasing something. I hurried over and saw that it was in a face-off with a racoon (never mind the fact that I’ve never even seen a racoon in reality). The first thing I did was whip my phone out to capture the moment. But my phone failed me. I couldn’t click on capture and I got frustrated.

There was someone else standing nearby. My sister, I think? I wasn’t paying much attention. Anyway, I said, “LOOK! Rechu!” Like, WHAT ON EARTH is a RECHU?! I wanted to say racoon, but it came out as ‘rechu’. Great. Even in my dream, I thought, that sounds like Raichu (picture below).

Err. So anyway, the racoon (I forgot to mention that it was really, really cute with adorable eyes) managed to scamper off and escape the hyper/irritated dog. I went back into the house, feeling kinda weird (must’ve been that semi-reference to a Pokemon). And then when I asked whose dog that was, my dad said, “Oh, that’s our new dog. I bought it for about a hundred bucks and left him here.” At that moment, the dog bolted through the door and came into the living room. That was when I realized how small it really was.

“Is it a Chihuahua?” I scrutinized the dog, not quite liking its size and demeanor.

“I don’t know. I just bought it.” Typical response from Daddy. :P

“Why didn’t you leave it at home and bring Patsy (our own dog at home) here instead?”

Woah. I was mean to Patsy in my own dream. Sorry, Patsy, Che che love you big time despite your sloppiness and your stupidity sometimes. :P She's really adorable when she greets me whenever I stand in the wet kitchen. (I love how my pets respond to me every time I come home after a couple of months – it’s very endearing.)

The duh part of the dream is this: it ended there lah.

I chalk up the randomness of the dream to exhaustion.

Actions

My brain is now wired to think of my whole day in terms of hours. We are now in the 14th hour of the day.

What I have done from the 10th to 14th hour today:
  • Mug
  • Stress
  • Watch an emotional episode of Grey's Anatomy
  • Enjoy lunch in front of my laptop
  • Mug
  • Send a bunch of SMS-es
  • Mug
  • Mug
  • Mug
I just tried pronouncing universalizability and got my tongue twisted so badly that it sounded more like universalizababelity. Aih. That was for Moral, in case you're wondering. I'm reading up on Kant's ethics now. Which is just zzzzzzz. Everything's so philosophical. :/

I have tons of photos to put up but I don't have the time to upload them now. They'll be up soon. I think. :P In the meantime, here are some stuff I just remembered to put up - trial videos. :D

In this following video, I acted as Dr Simms, a doctor testifying for the prosecutor. In one of the case's developments, a TV channel reported that she is dating the prosecutor's co-lawyer, Johnny Jones. Here, I (as Dr Simms) confess to my friends at a restaurant (yeah, right, do you believe that's a restaurant? LOL it's the college bakery la) that I'd tampered with the medical report that is essential in the child abuse case.

In this next video, I acted as Dr Simms once more. Here, I was in a hotel lobby with my beau, Johnny Jones. This video footage is from (a fictional) TV channel that was taping a special episode on couple New Year getaways. And this video was a source of much painful cringing on my part when it was played in class and in the mock trial room. It's a wonder the floor did not open up to swallow me whole. :/

*Disclaimer: All persons and situations portrayed in the videos are purely fictional. Any similarities to any persons, dead or alive, and to any situations, are purely coincidental. And all actors and actresses are not related in any way other than being platonic friends.

Alrightey. It's back to deontological ethics for me now. Have a superb weekend, everyone! :)

Welcome to the jungle

So today is another day when I experience that familiar post-test feeling (yes, we just had a test when our final exams are starting in three days - WHEE). Receiving less than stellar results just before that isn’t exactly a perk too, but I’m moving on. As always.

Today, the King of Roaches decided to pull a prank on me by sending one of its (rather fat) minions to invade my room. AHHHHHHHHH!! If you don’t already know, I LOATHE COCKROACHES. I don’t dare to go near them even because the mere thought of coming in even the slightest contact with them sends me into frenzy. So when Poh Yee told me that a big cockroach flew out of our wastepaper basket this morning and went beneath my bed, I almost lost my wits. Armed with a can of Ridsect, I watched, numb with fear, as she slowly extracted my two boxes and one paper bag from beneath my bed and kicked them around a bit to see if anything would fly out. I was on the edge, not really knowing what to do. It’s quite amazing what even the knowledge of a cockroach being in my vicinity can do to me.

She eventually found it in her shoe box and threw the box out of our room. She screamed. I screamed. A moment of silence ensued, and then I said, “SPRAY IT! SPRAY IT! AHHHHHHHHH!” And then some more screaming and many sprays later, the big, ugly, dirty creature had scurried a few doors away and started turning round and round like it was drunk. After a few spins, it collapsed onto its back and started thrashing around. UGHHHHHH.

“Is it dead? Is it dead?”

“No, it’s still kicking. EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.”

“I think I should give it one last hit.”

“Nah.. It’ll die sooner or later.”

We went back into the room and rearranged our things. A moment later, Poh Yee said, “I still think I should give it one last hit! What if it doesn’t die and run off somewhere?!”

*cricket sounds* Alarms rang in my head. “Nola.. It would die.” I sounded way more convincing than I really felt.

ISH. I hate how cockroaches make me feel! They scare the wits out of me and make me wanna dash like I never did in PE lessons. And THAT is saying a lot. Eh, and did I mention that the block is now invaded by a new kind of insect? They look like big mosquitoes, but they have light brown bodies and they fly really fast. And they put me off to the point that I’d rather walk to the other bathroom than use the stalls on my side of the block! :/

Disgusting encounters with bugs aside, things have been a little bumpy in this mini jungle. Stress levels have gone up considerably and emotions have been on the high. These are the common signs on the approaching final exams. I’ve been going in and out of the library every day this week. I know, I’m turning into library furniture. Sometimes I go there to get some serious work done. At other times, I get a big table all to myself and proceed to “read” my notes and doze off a bit. The environment is very conducive for sleep, really. And the sight of other people passing out on the library tables doesn’t help too, you know!

The population of students in the library has grown quite a bit in this week which makes it a bit harder for me to sleep because YOU KNOW THAT GUILT THAT SNEAKS IN WHEN YOU SEE SOMEONE PORING OVER SOME CALCULUS BOOK WHILE YOU FEEL LIKE PASSING OUT BUT KNOW THAT YOUR CALCULUS FINAL EXAM IS COMING IN A WEEK? YES, THAT FEELING SUCKS.

Meh. Speaking of which, I have a lot of mugging lined up for tonight, tomorrow, the next day, the day after... all the way till this phase ends. (I really think that I mug a lot more here than when I was in SA – and that is just ironic because people think I’m having a blast here, being free from CAs, BTs, CCAs, TAF, PE lessons, etc. Rest assured we’re pretty much in the same boat of work and stress, though, yeah?)

ROFL

"Fine, fine, go ahead and jab me, you model essay barfing creature."

This is a classic out of a blog post that was published yonks ago. Model essay barfing creature? I amaze myself too. :P

And the guy who I thought was kinda good-looking in Form 4? Now I can barely recognize him even though he hasn't changed much. It wasn't until I read through one of my old posts that I realized that I used to think that he's cute. He is a nice guy, gotta give him that. We were just casual friends who sometimes made small talk and laughed over small stuff. Oh, library moments. (There's no one reading this who can figure out who he is, right? Haha!)

Ohhh, here's something I just must share because it is so funny. It happened a few years back. Some unknown guy of my age sent me a very, very long message on Friendster. Of all the things, he poured out his very sad tale of how much he liked this girl who won't reciprocate. He treated me like I was Doctor Love! WUD? Do keep in mind that I had absolutely no idea who this guy was! I sent him a message back that didn't sound too good, I guess, because I don't think I heard from him again after that. That was one weird encounter.

Reading all that cheered me up after going through all those depressing articles for our presentation. Anyway, that was one long break. Back to work!

Signs that your friend is losing it

Wei Yiing, I hope you're okay now. And, woman..

Is that motivation enough for you? (I suspect a no.. Hmm..)

PS: In case you haven't noticed, my posts for these few days are scheduled ones.

Spidey fact

This is what I typed into a search bar on a website to look up some past research findings on gender differences: 'differences between males and females in types of friends'

Guess what came out on the top of the results list?

Female Spiders Eat Small Males When They Mate

HAHAHA!

Tsk tsk.. It might be high time for those teeny male spiders to start looking for smaller-sized friends with benefits.

I just thought that..

Due to the intense mugging that will commence from today onward, this blog will revert back to its original state. My post count hit an all-time high last month following a drastic upward trend that had started in May. But it's now high time to discontinue that trend due to unavoidable circumstances. :p

Some posts will be scheduled. I will still check back regularly as I'm online every day to check my mail.

This is what I usually do to my notes. This was drawn during an Econs tutorial in JC. Our then-Civics Tutor saw it when I was studying for a lecture test one day and she went "Panas? What is Panas?". Haha! Panas is THE definition of a hottie. That's who he is. ;)

I've got a special post lined up for tomorrow. Stay tuned.

XOXO

Roach Alert!

This morning, a BIG cockroach scuttled into my bathroom stall while I was brushing my teeth inside (yeah, I grabbed the bathroom stall before it was taken - because cold water and me don't quite go together - so I ended up brushing my teeth inside) and freaked me out like mad. At first, I thought it was a moth because it was lying still near the door. I was pretty blind without my glasses. Upon closer inspection I discovered to my HORROR that it was a COCKROACH!

I squealed like never before and Wendy just laughed at me when I asked her for a pail of water! I wanted to flush that thing out of the bathroom because the drain cover cannot be open so there's no other way out for it. No pail of water or any form of help came. I had to attempt to drown that thing while brushing my teeth at the same time. It didn't drown, though, even after a few failed attempts to escape the bathroom stall (which must have seemed like Roach Hell for that thing). I rushed out right after that to change in a toilet stall instead. That thing didn't die. I don't know what happened to it next but soon enough I got teased for squealing at a cockroach.

Let me ask you: Which girl in her right mind won't scream when a BIG ROACH scuttles into the SMALL bathroom stall while she is inside?! The feeling of being trapped in such a small space with a BIG, DIRTY INSECT is nothing but repulsive! It's scary, okay! :(

Maybe this is what I get for telling Karyn to brandish her Ridsect can and go all out to get rid of those flying insects in her room last night. :[

Okay, enough about the BIG, DIRTY INSECT.

I haunted the AUP office today. Muahaha. :p Miss Zaleha must have gotten tired of seeing me there. I went there after TOEFL class (I had to do a short speaking exercise during the class. The topic? The best car in the world. Haha. Random) with Wei Yiing (whom I now call QUACK!) because I was just bored and wanted to wait for lunchtime. I ended up sitting at the table, staring into space, and then plugging in my earphones, and then talking to the rest there. After lunch, I went back there with Si Ning and crashed on the VERY comfy sofa while SN was checking out university lists in the UPO. While SN did her SAT registration, I asked Miss Zaleha about university stuff.

Anyway, I was quite relieved and happy after talking to Miss Zaleha because she told me about many good universities for Actuarial Science. She told me not to be discouraged by the limited choices for now. It was good to be able to talk to someone who knows her stuff for real. And I'm so glad that she layan-ed me so patiently. She must think that I'm such a worrywart. Heh.. :p

On a completely random note, I had keropok lekor after leaving the Accommodation Office (I had to request for someone to come and repair my closet latch because it came off this morning due to the split wooden edge.. Ish). I love keropok lekor. :)

PS: Ruth, maybe it's best that you stop calling me Mama Roach now. :p

Happy-fied

I am sick - again. Twice in barely two months! *sigh* I don't know when I started falling sick so easily. My nose has been blocked for almost the whole week! The mucus accumulated in the passageways are putting pressure on the sides of my nose, which is really irritating. And I got a dull pressure on my temples about three days ago (which I thought was maybe because my eyesight got worse and my eyes needed checking). And now I've got a cough as a result of all the stubborn mucus. I took Mucosolvan, Carinox, Pandeine, and my daily doses of Vitamin C, but nothing seems to work now. I resorted to buying a Vicks stick just now (I can imagine my mum going 'I told her so' now..).

I hate being sick. It makes me feel useless because when I study, it becomes painful to keep on straining to read after a few pages. When I write, my nose starts acting up and unblock itself, causing me to use up packet after packet of tissues. And then, when I wake up, my nose is blocked again. So annoying! >:[

In spite of all this, can you believe that I am elated at this moment? Yeah.. I'm really happy about something tonight! :D I shall keep mum about this first, though. I'll let you in on it once it's all worked out and confirmed. *fingers crossed* :)

On another note, I was just testing you about the boyfriend, guys. No, I am not attached. There. Happy? Actually, did you notice that the title of the post reads 'You probably don't know this too..'? I said too because I didn't know it either! The silly story behind it is that I was chatting with Audrey one night during my break last week, and she said she thought that I have a boyfriend. I was so taken aback and tickled at the same time, hence, the post. Muahaha! :p

I know that it usually happens. Girl moved on from secondary school to college, girl morphed into some unknown chick, girl met boy, girl fell head over heels for boy and the feeling was mutual, and tada - boy and girl are now an item. HAHAHA.. c'mon, guys. That's not my story - far from it actually. Because in my story, the only thing that happened is 'girl moved on from secondary school to college'. Period.

So worry your pretty heads no more, guys. C'mon, even my parents didn't ask about it! My dad just brushed it off by saying 'I know.. Girl stuff..' (come to think of it, were you just acting cool, Daddy? Hahaha!). Joanne bugged me about it and oh, boy, Jojo, how I loved dancing around the truth with you.. Muahaha! Now we see who is more 'annoyable'! :p

But has the girl met a boy? Maybe. Maybe not.

Quite a day

It is now 2.17 am. I just went to the toilet a minute ago to find that there are two other rooms on this floor which have the lights on. And there are a few girls on the third floor who are outside of the rooms. A quick check of the neighboring blocks revealed more lit rooms. Great. More nocturnal creatures - I suppose another reason why some people say that college life rocks. Does it? Go figure.

I'd had a long day. Wendy and I boarded the bus only to wind up at the KTM station when we actually intended to go to Giant. We missed the stop because we didn't know which one it was. We managed to alight at the correct stop the second time around, though. We almost got lost again - on foot. We walked in the direction which the Giant signboard indicated, only to stop halfway, because we realized that we were walking towards nothing but some trees. We turned back to the roundabout and decided to head towards the direction which pointed to INTI International UC. We saw a couple carrying Giant plastic bags walking towards us. Wendy asked for directions and we were happy to discover that we were on the right track. About a few hundred metres into it, I saw Allson Klana Hotel looming ahead and my heart immediately lifted because then I knew that we were approaching Giant. Anyway, we spent a long time in Giant after we had lunch at Uncle John. I had sizzling plate Cantonese yee mee for RM 5.80, my first real meal in 5 days! It wasn't very filling, though. (I got hungry at 7 pm when I ate my lunch at approximately 2.40 pm!)

My four bags worth of groceries cost me RM112.04. According to my receipt, I bought a total of 17 items - Oral-B toothbrush (my old one was all out of shape already), some round plastic hanger with clips, two tubes (for the Padini sweater which got a little out of shape and formed its own plunging neckline while it was drying.. Ish!), some toiletries, some packet tissues, a plastic container (for storing biscuits), Dynamo detergent, toilet paper rolls (ohhhhhh, I despise the fact that I must buy my own TP rolls! They're costly la wei..), Skippy peanut butter (finally, something other than my Smuckers sugar-free jam! Don't get me wrong - I still love Smuckers!), a bottle of honey (to soothe the throat and to follow Mummy's advice la.. hehe), Jacob's Crak's crackers (it's been soooooo long since I had this wonderful thing!), a pack of 20 sticks of Milo Fuze 3-in-1, a loaf of bread, Julie's peanut butter biscuits (packed ones for me to bring to classes), and Ping Pong Flying Fish biscuits. Okay, so the Crak's and the Flying Fish biscuits are treats for myself. I miss eating the fish biscuit! It reminds me so much of my childhood days. :) Although I'm pretty sure they were not called Flying Fish years ago, and the packaging was a whole lot different. :P Anyway, how can all those total up to RM112.04?! Heh. Trust me to go mad at Giant. *sigh* I'm such a supermarket junkie. (Ji Ding can testify to that.. Now Wendy can too.. Haha!) We took a cab back because there was no way we could have lugged all our buys onto the bus and off it AND walk all the way to the top floor of Block S. :P

Before dinner, I made a list of things to do tonight, okay, last night. I had 13 things on the list. So far, I've only managed to cross out two things - washing and ironing my clothes. I was about to cross out another one - edit ENL101 questionnaire layout - when I was distracted by the McNairians who congregated in the canteen and were sending me weird messages (Chan, I hold true to what I said.. haha! AND WHY DIDN'T ANYONE HELP ME WITH MY CALCULUS QUESTION?! SCHOLARS!! Hahaha!) while I was talking to Wendy who was in my room to study. There went all my mugging intentions.

After our short chat, I SMS-ed Shing Yee. She called me after that and we ended up talking for a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes. This was the first time that we had spoken on the phone to each other only, and already we took up so much time! She called me at around 12.20 pm, so you can figure out what time we hung up. Anyway, it was so great to be able to chat with her again after so long. *sigh* I know, I've left McNair for only a month now, but sometimes it feels like I'd never left the place. When they chat with me while they're all in the canteen, I can envision myself sitting there with them, my things strewn across the whole table and my legs crossed on the chair.

Shing Yee, I'm so glad we could talk. I needed to talk to someone familiar to let things off my chest. Although I'm not there anymore, I feel as if we are still roommates. I guess it'll take time for me to adjust to not having you all as my roommates anymore. It still feels funny sometimes how I say goodnight and there is only one person responding, not a scatter of goodnights. It was really nice to hear a voice which I'd been used to hearing every day and night. When you told me that you were at the pond, it reminded me so much of the times by the pool. I wish I can do the same here too, but I can't. I wish I can hang out in the canteen and mug with the aid of hot Milo and sinful potato crackers, but I have to make do with my own company and some music when I mug. It's almost as if Room 103 has created an ideal for me. It wasn't everything I'd hoped for facility-wise, but the company was more than I could ask for. Now that I'm not part of Room 103 anymore and I've moved on, I have to learn to adapt to the new environment and appreciate the fact that I got to enjoy my ideal and how it was awesome while it lasted. I'm really looking forward to the day we can meet up. :)

I aim to cross off at least 5 more items off my to-do list before I sleep. I think I'm going to tackle my ENL101 assignment and questionnaire first. At the rate I'm going, I think I'll be sleeping at 4 am or so. I'm gonna need biscuits to sustain me - my stomach is grumbling already.. Hehe..

It is now 2.54 am. Have an awesome Sunday! :)

Home with the memories

I've been turning into a SuperPig since I came home. I'm serious. I've been doing almost NOTHING except sleep like a log. I've been napping (in my dictionary, that translates to 2-3 hours of fitful sleep) EVERY DAY. Okay, so a couple of pages of PW don't really count as nothing - ooh yeaaaah, Crystal did PW during the holidays! (PW IS THE BLAH, I tell you.. hahaha, McNairians, I see you turning green..) I've also done a few Maths questions (Heh.. if they count?) and I've been reading up on the SAT I For Dummies book (very helpful, I should say) and looking up on TOEFL because I'd have to sit for the SATs and TOEFL - probably by the end of the year, if I were to apply into university next year.

When did time fly so fast? It felt like just yesterday that I stepped into McNair Lodge and was shocked beyond words at the MEASLY excuse of a closet that they have there. (I think I've already rambled about the gigantic closet space, so I won't further torture you in this post) But I came to love the place all the same, unidentifiable (even with the menu!) food and all. Pretty soon I'm giving up my place in the hostel to register as a hostelite somewhere else.

Although I miss being in the hostel (I know, who misses the hostel when they're at home?! I think only we do.. haha), there is a big part of me which dreads going back because it would mean having to pack up and say goodbye. And because I will miss the small things like this:

Those are our guys singing for Denise and Ji Ding before they left. They got us out of our rooms at almost 1 am and sang for them by the pool. How can you not be touched? =)

[Credits to Chan, Eric, Jonathan, Petch and Ricky for their melodious voices.. haha! And not forgetting Peng Soon who recorded the whole medley!]

Maybe it is time to say this

Photobucket

This is why guys make me feel like I'd be better off talking to a concrete wall at times.

Photobucket

And this is why I'm going to miss McNair Lodge so much.

I've broken the news - I'm leaving everything I've gotten used to in the past 5 months, leaving the familiar faces to meet new ones, leaving all the places I've come to identify with. But this doesn't spell an end. I had a great 5 months and no regrets.
